"Love this locally owned restaurant. I've been coming here since they opened. Never had a bad experience. The staff is great, and the food is even better. They're coming out with some new menu items. I just had the chili tonight and it was awesome!"

"I got a burger. They serve it in toasted bread that looks as if it was soaked in butter. The bartender was a great guy. I may stop by and see if they do a better job with breakfast. Bar food should not be tricky. No extensive menu. Just straightforward, with attention to great ingredients. If you can cook a great burger and serve it on a good sized bun that doesn't fall apart, I'd be perfectly happy. And french fries. Make good french fries."

"Interesting to see the changes at the new location (from the previous Fresh wraps) but I'd never been to the old Vernon Bar and Grill either to compare. Wait staff was great. Pretty varied menu for such a small place. We ordered the fish sandwich, a hot beef plate and shared an order of corn nuggets. They weren't spicy as the menu suggested (supply chain issues we were told when we asked) but they were delicious. The hot beef was good, though still not my favorite and came with plenty of good brown gravy. The mashed potatoes were good too, thicker than the last place I had had a hot beef at. The fish on the fish sandwich was much larger than the bun. No complaints. The crinkle cut fries were just OK. Reminded me a bit of coated fries which I'm not a huge fan of. So while not outstanding, still solid. Overall a good experience and probably a great option for those looking for a late night meal as the kitchen stays open with a limited menu until midnight. They also serve breakfast all day."

"Went in a little before noon on a Saturday for some late breakfast. No interrogations about bringing my family (including two small children) with me; order was taken quickly, we were checked on several times and felt respected by the staff as well as the other customers in what some people may view as an unconventional dining choice for small children. Food was absolutely amazing. Very fairly priced, almost too hot to eat upon arrival and a giant thumbs up on the pancakes from a 3 year old - can't do much better than that."
